Aaron Russo Unplugged

Creator and director of the groundbreaking film America: Freedom to Fascism Aaron Russo speaks candidly in this video about 9/11, being asked to join the CFR, the creation of the women’s lib movement, and many personal stories about his early years in the entertainment industry, and his first run in with the Daley political machine in Chicago.

Shot on location at the Landmark Cinema and Borders books in Chicago on 7/30/06.

Aaron Russo (February 14, 1943 – August 24, 2007) was an American entertainment businessman, movie producer and director, and political activist.  He was best-known for producing such blockbuster movies as Trading Places, Wise Guys, and The Rose.  Later in life, he created various Libertarian-leaning political documentaries.  After a six-year battle with bladder cancer, Russo died on August 24, 2007.
