This article is primarily a launching pad for multiple arms of the same topic. Television may be more than we have thought it to be. And from what I have come across, it isn’t good. Feel free to dive down any mirian of rabbit holes. From the origins of the TV to your child staring zombie-like at Thomas the train on the ‘tube’, we instinctively know something is odd about television but can’t quite grasp what it is.
I sat down one day and read that Congress is mandating the use of Digital Signals to be broadcast by the major television and cable companies. I began to wonder why government would demand such a thing. It really didn’t seem to me to be very healthy or to be something within the power of Congress to mandate.
Free market competition is a far greater stimulant toward ‘forcing’ a company to change formats. Naturally the old rules of free market economics, liberty, freedom and small government is now virtually at an end. So, at first glance I stored the question in the back of my mind and moved on.
Sometimes I feel like an archeologist as I read text now I tend to wonder what the root meanings of words are, what the historic references are to words are and I can’t seem to shake the fact that I always run into multiple odd connections.
Most of the public are aware of a term called “conspiracy theory” far fewer are aware of the term “coincidence theory”.
Coincidence theory is essentially the theory that any time one runs into an oddity of facts or a strange set of matching or corroborating data, if the facts or data are beyond the scope of the collective reality, it must be coincidence.
I, like many people, do not believe in coincidence.
Congress mandating the shift from analog to digital programming seemed to me to be out of left field so I pondered. Here is some of the information I dug up. I researched the history of television and found some strange occult connections and mind control and from that, I followed the white rabbit. I’ll leave it to you to decide if there is any knowledge to glean from it all.
Digital television reduces the signal to noise ratio to near zero. It also allows for multiple streams of data to flow through a single distinct channel. Where an individual would need to see a repetitive signal with analog to have an effect on the subconscious mind, digital will take it from chronic viewing requirements to acute.
The older model of television did not use a pixel based technology. Instead it used a repeated pattern of clusters of colored cells. The organized pattern of colors, viewed from a distance generated a pattern when seen. Today, these cells of color are simply smaller but in all cases whether old or new technology, these patterns of colored light can be seen and translated into an image when viewed from a distance.
We all know that in general the color blue can induce a relaxed mental state while the color red can induce passion. Colors, patters, tones, sounds and other stimulations of our senses have a strong impact on the subconscious. The mind can translate very complicated patterns of light and give it meaning. In a nutshell, the patterns of colored light we see on a monitor of any kind is all data, it is all information. The biggest difference with respect to raw data is that digital signals and digital television is simply capable of transmitting far more data to the brain within a given period of time.
TVI decided to take a single sentence and deconstruct the meanings, histories or other uses of the words to see if there were any patters that emerged. If there were any odd patterns, then I suppose that many will consider them to be merely a coincidence.
“Government control over channels and programs broadcast typically through the medium of television.”
General Breakdown of words common to the Television Broadcasting industry.
The list below is far from scientific method and is more aligned with gut instinct or common references. The intent is to find connections within the words by their root meanings, alternative use, or implied understanding:
